Black Sunday (or The Mask of Satan)
“I think this is the first Mario Bava movie I’ve watched, and I wasn’t disappointed. For its age, it really holds up, and it seems like you can really see some of the elements that make a horror movies today work being toyed with and tweaked. Great camera movements, really interesting set pieces, good casting, etc. It’s usually easy to get a little bored with older horror films, but this one kept my attention and had some great things going for it. I can certainly see why it has such a reputation.
2 out of 5 on the frightometer not super scary, but a good story with great horror elements.”
